let people "reset" the snippet (or at least view original)
I find when editing a snippet sometimes I move the words around a bit, delete bits, then decide I need to "go back". It would be really useful to have a "reset" button - or alternatively to display the original text while you are editing, for reference.

alex, thanks for this - it makes sense, and I'd like to do it if it's feasible.

I'll chip a chad for this. I'd love to be able to restore a snippet-- right now if I make an edit and can't commit to it, I end up refreshing the page, to the great chagrin of the work I'd put into an edit.
